GEAR TO LOOK INTO

One of my favorite things to do is to look at all the awesome equipment for filmmakers! The technology is so advanced and the gear you can get is endless!


The first Item on the list is Rigs. I personally use a Customized RedRock Micro Eyespy rig with a RedRock Follow Focus. I use RedRock because I believe their products are top of the line and they are always coming out with new gear to add to your rig. Thats the best part! You can personalize you rig how ever it best suits you! the rigs you can buy an be changed and added on to to make you rig work for you.

Next on the list, dolly/cranes. I have always wanted a crane system to get all those very cinematic shots you see in the movies. I hear that the guys over at 
www.kesslercrane.com make great DSLR cranes. So, maybe in the future I will get one? Also, the make dollies. I have a dolly for my tripod but that is more of a temporary set up. I will for sure be looking into a tracked dolly in the near future! Last is a slider. A slider is basically a miniature dolly for your camera. They're used for smaller camera movement or when you don't have time to set up a track. Kessler also makes great sliders so check em' out!


Last on my list, lighting. I NEED lighting! I have been looking every where for a good quality lighting kit for cheap. Believe me its tough. What I'm looking for in a kit would be 3 lights. 2 with soft boxes and one with barn doors. The best I could find were these. www.tubetape.net I would also order 2 barn doors to go with those.
